New Teatro alla Scala production

First performance ever

This Season, the Accademia Teatro alla Scala will pay homage to the history of our Theatre, of the great names that have marked its tradition, of its Ballet School which is now more than two hundred years old and of the young students who are the present and the future of the ballet. The evening will open with présentationwith all the students dancing over the notes of Mozart. It will continue with a new creation by Heinz Spoerli, Prometeo. In the year that marks the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven, Spoerli creates a new choreography for Die Geschöpfe des prometheus, the only ballet written by the German composer, which brings to mind the glories and the history of Ballet and of our Theatre. Theodor Guschlbauer will conduct the La Scala Academy Orchestra.
